Happy Wheels has just been released amidst the imminent and unsettling farewell to Flash, marking the end of an era. It’s been a tense wait, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope the anxiety over Flash’s disappearance hasn’t disturbed your sleep. If you weren’t aware that this game was in development, here’s some exciting news: this is the official public release of Happy Wheels. As this is the first version, please bear with us as we address any remaining bugs and improve stability.
While I still favor the Flash version, what I appreciate about this new release is its excellent performance on mobile devices. Currently, however, there are no on-screen controls for mobile gameplay—these will be added in the next update. Thank you for your patience. If you’re eager to try the game on your phone, pairing it with a Bluetooth keyboard can offer a great experience.
Although I initially mentioned that the game would run at 60 frames per second, some of the more challenging levels may run a bit slower at that rate. Fortunately, there’s already an option to adjust this setting. I may also consider hosting a version at 60Hz on a separate page for users with high-performance CPUs.
Rest assured, Happy Wheels JS aims to faithfully replicate the original game’s design and gameplay. The database of users, levels, and replays remains intact; only the impending cosmic doom has been dismissed.
